The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) aims to enhance teacher motivation and retention by providing financial incentives to teachers who demonstrate exceptional performance and contribute significantly to student success. The program aligns with 谢尔曼ISD’s commitment to fostering a high-quality education environment and supporting the professional growth of its teaching staff. 

TIA was established by the Texas Legislature in 2019 to provide a new pathway for teachers to earn higher salaries and help address a nationwide teacher shortage. Districts that chose to participate must create local teacher designation systems that measure teacher effectiveness based on observation and student growth data.

Teachers who are identified as recognized, exemplary or master teachers receive annual state stipends on top of their regular salary. In addition, teachers who have earned National Board Certification receive stipends at the recognized level for five years.
